Cub Scouts is the third section of the Scouts movement in the UK, and is open to children aged 8 to 10 years old. The program is designed to build on the skills and experiences gained in Beaver Scouts, and offers children the opportunity to continue their development as young scouts. Cub Scouts in the UK are organised into small groups called “Packs,” which are led by adult volunteers named after the characters in The Jungle Book.
Through a variety of activities, Cub Scouts in the UK learn about teamwork, respect for others, and leadership skills, while also having lots of fun along the way. The Cub Scout program emphasises outdoor activities and adventures, and offers a range of opportunities for children to explore the world around them, learn new skills, and make new friends.
At Barton we have 2 Cub Packs . Scarlet Pack who meet on Monday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:15pm and Gold Pack who meet on Thursday evenings from 6:15pm to 7:30pm.
